OPENING IN 2025Ronald McDonald House Shreveport-Bossier will serve families with a critically ill child in any Shreveport hospital. By keeping them together during an already difficult time, the House removes barriers to life-saving care for children and eases financial burdens.
All services at the Ronald McDonald House are provided free of charge. |

As a Louisiana native, Lori Moore is excited and grateful to bring a Ronald McDonald House to North Louisiana. Moore reflects, "There isn't a more perfect fit for Shreveport-Bossier than this much needed Ronald McDonald House. This area is already providing quality medical care to so many; now we need a place to keep families together while they receive care for their critically ill child. There is a reason most people deliver a warm meal when a family is burdened, sad or stressed. When you provide the basic necessities to a family, they are better able to focus on what really matters - their loved ones. I know this community is equipped with generous donors and compassionate volunteers that will be the support system to this mission for decades to come."

Roy Griggs, CEO of Griggs Enterprise, Inc. and McDonald’s owner/ operator is a highly successful and well-respected business owner, philanthropist, and community leader. We are fortunate that Mr. Griggs has chosen to spearhead this effort to build the first Ronald McDonald House in Northwest Louisiana.
Mr. Griggs said, “Bringing a Ronald McDonald House to this area has been a goal for my family for many, many years. Our dream has been to provide these services to Louisiana families so they can be with their child in the hospital. My hope is that our community will come together to donate the funds needed to build this home away from home that provides families with so much more than a free place to stay. There are 380 Ronald McDonald Houses in the world, and it is time that our community has one too.” |
